Snapset II Packer
Text Box: The Snapset II Packer is a compression set tool which only requires straight set down weight to pack off. This packer is generally run above another compression set packer such as the ASIII to selectively treat, produce or inject in multiple zone completions. It can also be used to isolate casing holes or perforations. The Snapset II is designed with a large bypass area to prevent swabbing when running and retrieving. When set, pressure from above or below acts down on the valve to maintain a seal and prevent upward movement of the tubing. The valve also allows debris to be washed from the upper slips when releasing. The Snapset II is equipped with an internal latch which prevents the packer from presetting when running in the hole. When releasing, the latch reengages to allow the packer to be moved down hole.
